Berlin, 16.11.2017: We’re pleased to announce that WeSustain has been nominated for the final round of this year’s StartGreen Award – the national top prize for the green founder community in Germany.

For the third time, all finalists were invited to pitch in front a jury of experts at the Berlin Ministry of Environment, and to attend the subsequent exhibition in the Network Forum, both taking place on November 16, 2017. WeSustain was able to celebrate its entry into the final after delivering a successful presentation during both the application phase and the public voting within the green community.

In 2010, we started with the goal to develop software that supports companies in their goals to become more sustainable. Our vision behind it: By using software, companies become aware of where savings or an increase in efficiency are possible. Required data is reco

rded in the system, where they are evaluated and can be used for internal and external reporting. Saving 10% in resources this way, for instance, – a realistic number in our experience – isn’t just a good development regarding

environmental impact, but also an economic factor. From this impulse, we have developed additional software tools

in recent years to further support companies in their sustainability activities, e.g. creating materiality analyses,

measuring sustainability performance, supporting audit processes or tracking supply chains. By now, more than 500 companies from all industries successfully use WeSustain software for their csr management.

The initiative “StartGreen” aims to strengthen the green founding scene in Germany and wants to connect start-ups, sponsors and investors who stand up for climate protection and sustainability in their business activities. The StartGreen Award is an initi

ative of the Borderstep Institute for Innovation and Sustainability. Patron is Federal Minister of the Environment Dr. med. Barbara Hendricks.

WeSustain will participate in the 2nd German CSR Communication Congress in Osnabrück on November 9 and 10, 2017 and will actively help shape the event. The main topic of the congress is CSR communication according to the motto “the communication of responsibility and responsibility in communication”.

In addition to many interesting speeches and workshops on the subject, the sponsored pitch for CSR tools & software, which is held for the first time this year, is particularly exciting. We will of course present our WeSustain software solution and its modules.
Further, we’ll be present with a demopoint at the info fair taking place at the same time. Our experts Dr. Daniel Süpke and Michael Barsakidis will be available to all interested parties on both days of the event.

CSR managers and communication managers from small and medium-sized enterprises as well as large companies, corporations and representatives from civil society, science and teaching are the target group of the event.

The congress is an initiative of the joint working group CSR-Communication of the German Public Relations Society (DPRG) and the German Network of Business Ethics (DNWE) and is implemented in cooperation with the Center for Environmental Communication of the German Federal Foundation for the Environment.
